Summary: The Technical Intern will assist the Technical Department in improving their understanding of the film production and metallizing process through the completion of project work. Projects will often involve working with several other departments to collect data and information that is crucial to improving operations. This individual will work with other Mechanical and Chemical Engineers and independently on small scale projects. This individual will work 40 hours per week. A summary presentation is required, describing the projects and accomplishments, given by the individual to TPA management at the conclusion of the internship. Summary: Qualified candidate(s) will assist the Lumirror NPD Group in the completion of project work. This individual will work with other Mechanical or Chemical Engineers and independently on small scale projects. Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will be a mechanical, polymer, or chemical engineering student entering his/her junior or senior year
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite required; Access and/or CAD helpful but not required
  • Ability to report in a clear and concise manner
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated
  • GPA of 3.3 or above

Responsibilities

  • Support other engineers on different aspects of their projects
  • Collect, process and interpret test data
  • Document and report test results
  • Assist with developing test protocols
  • Search out raw material and/or equipment suppliers to meet specific project needs.
