About The Position

As Centiro continues to grow its North American presence, we’re looking for a Technical Engineer who combines strong IT engineering skills with an operational mindset — someone who ensures reliable internal technology, supports our people across offices, and contributes to the stability of our SaaS platform. This role is based onsite in Vancouver and supports our North American offices in Vancouver, Montréal, and Boston. Occasional travel within Canada, and to global sites is required. You are someone with broad IT skills and a strong understanding of how IT operates across different organizational contexts. You have hands on experience managing infrastructure in on premise data centers, Azure, and Google Cloud, and you are comfortable maintaining, patching, and troubleshooting servers and environments as needed. In parallel, you contribute at the application and platform operations level, helping monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of Centiro’s SaaS solution in collaboration with global teams. This is a high ownership role where you’ll help build clarity, continuity, and a dependable technical experience across North America, while collaborating with global teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, IIS, and virtualization (Hyper‑V / VMware)
  • Experience managing infrastructure in on‑prem data centers and cloud environments (Azure and/or Google Cloud)
  • Solid networking experience (LAN/WAN)
  • Strong security mindset: endpoint hardening, patch management, monitoring, and handling SOC alerts
  • Proven experience managing and supporting endpoints (Windows, macOS, Linux), printers, and conference equipment
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 and related services (Intune, Defender, Entra, Purview)
  • Experience with user administration, troubleshooting, service desk support, and Jira Service Management
  • Experience with backup and recovery, license management, and vendor coordination
  • Ability to script or automate tasks using PowerShell or similar
  • Experience contributing to ISO and SOC 2 compliance
  • Curious, resourceful, and comfortable exploring new technologies and processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cisco Umbrella is an advantage
  • Relevant certifications are an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT support in Vancouver and remote support for our offices in Montréal, Boston and our global locations in Sweden, India, Spain
  • Own the hardware lifecycle: procurement, provisioning, setup, maintenance, and replacement of laptops, phones, and office technology
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding, user access, identity management, and security requirements with tools like Active Directory, Microsoft Entra and more
  • Administer and support endpoints across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including hardening, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Support local networks, WiFi, printers, and conference equipment in collaboration with global IT
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and related services (Intune, Defender, Entra, Purview)
  • Manage licenses, vendors, and renewals
  • Contribute to IT standards, audit readiness, ISO and SOC 2 compliance
  • Continuously improve workplace technology, documentation, and operational processes
  • Monitor system behavior, logs, alerts, integrations, and dashboards
  • Investigate and troubleshoot operational incidents related to platform functionality or integrations
  • Collaborate with Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to resolve issues and reduce recurrence
  • Support release activities, environment validations, and configuration changes
  • Maintain and improve runbooks and operational documentation
  • Identify recurring risks or issues and contribute to long‑term stability improvements
