About The Position

The electrician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems with the bakery. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems, which are vital for production processes. The electrician will troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of machinery. Additionally, they will adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the success of this role contributes to the overall productivity and reliability of bakery’s operations.

Requirements

  • Operating machines with coaching
  • Reading and writing, and fluently conversant in the language of communication as appropriate to the site
  • Collaborating well in a diverse work environment
  • At least 2-4 years manufacturing experience as a hands-on Electrician or planned completion of an approved Apprenticeship Program.
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision.
  • Ability to problem solve and help with practical solutions.
  • 480 volts - industrial electrical experience
  • Programming Coding
  • Blueprints
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
  • HS diploma
  • Manufacturing equipment experience
  • PLC & VFD experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Mechatronics / Electrical / Industrial Engineer Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards.
  • Use technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.
  • Operate and maintain equipment to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets.
  • Execute all standard work processes on equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards.
  • Ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed.
  • Understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of machinery.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Install and maintain motors, motor control circuits, VFD drives, safety circuits, and 480v-power distribution.
