About The Position

The Technical Electric Metering Specialist I is an entry-level position responsible for supporting electric metering operations focusing on learning foundational metering principles, safety practices, and company procedures while assisting more experienced specialists and technicians. This role builds foundational skills to perform analysis of meter installation issues, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electric meter and related systems.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Required.
Basic understanding of electric metering principles and equipment.
Proficiency with computer software programs (e.g. e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets) for documentation and reporting.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

Associate Degree Electrical Systems Preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide support regarding meter installations and service interruptions.
Support troubleshooting of simple metering issues, escalating complex problems to higher-level specialists.
Maintain accurate documentation of meter work performed and meter inventory.
Learn and follow safety protocols and company standards for electric metering.
Assist in major project construction execution, and scheduling information
Assists with annual testing programs, IUC requirements and other regulatory work.
Access and update rubber goods data in electronic records management systems. This includes, but not limited to, inventory management and ordering of rubber goods.
Participate in training sessions to develop technical knowledge and skills.
Participate in safety initiatives and contribute to a safe work environment.
