About The Position

Amca is building America’s new industrial base by rapidly developing and manufacturing critical components and subsystems for aviation, military vehicles, and core infrastructure. The Technical Editor will be responsible for translating the company's extensive engineering and manufacturing capabilities into credible, technically-grounded content for engineering recruits and customers in defense and aerospace sectors. This role sits on the Growth team and reports to the Senior Manager of Creative and Marketing. The ideal candidate has experience in technical journalism, product marketing, or engineering, is creative, an expert communicator, and exercises exceptional judgment. The scope of the role will expand as the company grows.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Own Amca's relationship with external platforms (e.g., forums) and networks, ensuring a substantive presence that generates meaningful inbound.
  • Execute on editorial opportunities (sponsored content, contributed articles, engagement) aligned with Amca's brand standards and company beliefs.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for Amca's product development platform, RAPID, developing clear, technically honest, and compelling communication for various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Creative and Marketing and the design team to share RAPID's capabilities through assets like technical explainers, one-pagers, and social content.
  • Produce a steady cadence of technical content monthly for social platforms, publishing short-form content that exemplifies Amca's work.
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager and VP of Growth to ensure all public-facing content related to Amca's technical capabilities is accurate, credible, and consistent with company values.
  • Serve as the primary technical contributor on multi-media projects, including long-form writing (op-eds, blog posts, industry publications), video, events, and other branded materials.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure all technical content is captured accurately.
  • Work with the CEO, VP of Growth, and other leadership team members to develop and refine communication about the industrial base.
  • Maintain deep awareness of publications within the industrial ecosystem to continuously sharpen Amca's position and point of view in policy discourse.

Benefits

  • Annual Salary Range $100,000 - $170,000 USD
