About The Position

The Technical Oversight Director provides strategic and technical leadership for Workers' Compensation Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Oversight operations. This role partners with Claims, Legal, Finance, Regulatory, and TPA stakeholders to improve claim outcomes, control costs, ensure reserve adequacy, enhance litigation oversight, drive operational excellence, and support organizational development.

Requirements

  • Extensive Workers' Compensation claims and TPA oversight experience.
  • Strong knowledge of reserving, litigation management, claims operations, and analytics.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and process improvement skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management capabilities.
  • Experience with claims management systems, RMIS platforms, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Drive claim cost reduction through oversight of indemnity, medical, and legal expenses.
  • Lead Reserve Roundtables and support reserve adequacy reviews consistent with AIG reserving philosophy.
  • Partner with TPAs, Claims, and Regulatory teams to improve outcomes and resolve performance issues.
  • Support claim overflow management and quality claim handling practices.
  • Monitor claim trends, cost drivers, and payment activity to improve financial performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on claims systems, reporting, data integrity, and operational processes.
  • Support account closeouts, special projects, and stakeholder reporting needs.
  • Provide litigation oversight through legal trend analysis, counsel management, and legal process administration.
  • Coordinate onboarding, training, and technical development initiatives for analysts and team members.
  • Develop and implement claims procedures and best practices.
  • Promote employee development, training completion, and technical knowledge sharing.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and strategic projects that enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with TPAs, clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support business objectives through collaboration and responsiveness.
  • Oversee Fusion payment management and aging invoice resolution.
  • Partner with Financial Operations and Claims teams to improve payment accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor operational metrics and implement process improvements to support service excellence.
  • Identify fraud indicators and emerging claim-related risks.
  • Collaborate with Claims, TPAs, and Governance teams to monitor trends and escalate concerns.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts and promote fraud awareness.
  • Expand expertise in Workers' Compensation Oversight operations, claims management, and business processes.
  • Pursue ongoing leadership and technical development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate readiness for expanded leadership and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and respect in all interactions.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and open communication.
