About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and systems-savvy Technical Data Entry Specialist to manage the accurate and efficient flow of data for the Engineering Department. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured, high-volume environment and plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our bill of material data, directly supporting operations, finance, and compliance teams.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of proven data entry or data operations experience, preferably in a technical or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Excellent typing speed and 10-key proficiency with a high degree of accuracy (e.g., 45+ WPM).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).
  • Hands-on experience with database systems, CRM/ERP platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite), or EMR systems
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume setting.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining focus during repetitive tasks.
  • High School Education or Equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree in a related science or business field is preferred, or equivalent experience may be substituted for education

Responsibilities

  • Input and Update Data: Accurately enter and update high-volume, often complex, data (e.g., product specifications, bill of materials) into SAP.
  • Verify and Audit Data: Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy and completeness of data against source documents; (e.g. drawings, bill of materials, etc.) perform regular quality assurance checks and data audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Organize and Manage Records: Maintain detailed and organized digital records, ensuring all data is stored securely and in compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work with cross-functional senior teams (e.g., IT, Procurement, Operations), and engineering to resolve data inconsistencies, locate missing information, and align data governance standards.
  • Generate Reports: Retrieve data from databases and prepare reports or summaries as requested by management or other departments.
