About The Position
Join Esri’s Professional Services team and work directly with mission-driven customers to design, deploy, migrate, troubleshoot, and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise environments. The role combines hands-on ArcGIS expertise with enterprise IT knowledge across operating systems, cloud, containers, databases, storage, authentication, security, high availability, and disaster recovery. You will help customers navigate complex technology environments while building scalable and resilient enterprise GIS solutions. Relocation assistance is available for relocating to the St. Louis, Missouri area.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience implementing and supporting enterprise GIS systems.
- Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues in server-based systems.
- Ability to consistently apply a systematic, best-practice-driven approach to system engineering.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to customers, executives, and technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active or current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
- Knowledge of or interest in additional ArcGIS technologies.
- Practical experience with one or more major cloud providers.
- Experience with scripting and/or programming languages such as shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, or similar.
- System administration experience with Windows, Linux, and/or Kubernetes platforms.
- Knowledge of or interest in networking concepts including HTTP, TCP, TLS, DNS, firewalls, and proxy technologies.

- Design and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
- Support enterprise migrations and modernization.
- Troubleshoot complex platform and infrastructure issues.
- Work across Windows, Linux, cloud, and containerized environments.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Configure and optimize enterprise ArcGIS systems.
- Collaborate directly with customer technical teams.
- Provide guidance on deployment practices.
- Support advanced upgrades and enterprise system changes.
- Help customers adapt their ArcGIS environments as technical needs evolve.
