About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in our manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment and workspace meet safety and operational standards. This role requires precision, compliance with industry regulations, and familiarity with technical cleaning procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.
  • Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Customer Service Orientation - Satisfying customers, both internal and external
  • Adaptability -- Working through unexpected challenges.
  • Reliability -- Performing to a specific expectation on a consistent basis.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures for manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and follow strict cleaning protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Comprehension Ability -- Ability to understand and apply basic instructions.
  • Language Ability -- Communication with others to convey information in a timely and effective manner.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to conduct basic problem solving.
  • Work from mechanical and / sketches, manuals, specifications, written or oral instructions.
  • Under minimal directions, work directly from a work order.
  • Perform scheduled PM's as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in industrial or technical cleaning (preferred but not required).
  • One year of industrial experience and janitorial experience is preferred.
  • Capability to assist in the training of others on necessary skills to perform repairs.
  • Technically skilled to facilitate the recovery of at least 50% of equipment from a technical fault without assistance.
  • Technical ability to demonstrate sound execution of the mechanical repairs of equipment and in providing long term resolution to equipment failures.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Live "Safety is Your Life" Program. Use proper personal protective equipment, i.e., hearing protection, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, etc., as required for the task at hand.
  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of machinery, tools, and workstations.
  • Use industrial cleaning products and equipment to remove debris, chemicals, and other contaminants.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify cleanliness or maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime due to cleaning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, and other industry regulations related to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance by keeping machinery surfaces free from buildup and residue
  • Participate in safety training (when applicable).
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazardous material disposal procedures.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with operating procedures and quality standards.
  • Progressive knowledge and skill building as outlined through the versatility or training matrix.
  • Effective and timely communication of information to supervision (as needed).
  • Continuous improvement of work through the established suggestion system
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.
