About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Business Analyst – Data & SQL position for our client. This role involves serving as a Technical Business Analyst supporting data-focused projects and initiatives. The analyst will partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, and data professionals to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Key responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements, performing data analysis and troubleshooting to identify issues and root causes, and developing/maintaining Business Requirements Documents, Technical Design Documents, and Data Lineage Documents. The role also requires writing and executing SQL queries to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across enterprise databases, working with Oracle and SQL Server databases (MongoDB experience is a plus), and facilitating requirements-gathering sessions and project meetings. Collaboration with Agile project teams throughout the development lifecycle, identifying dependencies and risks, and ensuring documentation clarity and alignment with business objectives are also crucial. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines is essential.

Requirements

Strong technical business analysis skills with the ability to interpret business requirements into detailed technical requirements.
Strong SQL skills, including experience with Oracle and SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus.
Strong data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities.
Excellent requirements documentation and technical writing skills.
Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery practices.
4+ years of experience working as a Technical Business Analyst.
4+ years of experience working on Agile projects.
2–4+ years of SQL experience, preferably with Oracle and SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus.
4+ years of experience in data analysis and troubleshooting.
4+ years of experience writing Business Requirements, Technical Design, and Data Lineage documentation.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
Proven experience facilitating meetings and collaborating with diverse business and technical stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

MongoDB experience is a plus.
