About The Position

The Technical Associate I in the Gabrieli Lab at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research will coordinate and implement research studies involving children and adult participants, including neurodiverse individuals with autism, dyslexia, and/or ADHD. Key responsibilities include participant outreach and scheduling, administering standardized behavioral assessments for language and cognition, managing testing scores and reports, operating the MRI scanner (training provided), supporting data analysis, and providing technical assistance to lab personnel.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, e.g. social science, neuroscience, psychology/education, or related fields.
  • Organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good judgment and sensitivity interacting with children and families, including handling confidential information about learning abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • At least a 1-year commitment.
  • Regular availability on weekends (9am-5pm Saturdays Sundays) and some afternoons/evenings (between 3-7pm), i.e. when children/adolescents are available for testing outside school hours required.
