About The Position

EarthBalance is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Technical Assistant to support its Environmental Restoration Operations team at the Operations Center. The role supports daily operations through logistics and scheduling coordination, plant procurement, documentation, and administrative backup for nursery operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, able to manage multiple priorities, and communicates effectively across departments. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple orders, schedules, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, nurseries, the Resource Manager, Project Managers, field personnel, and other departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn company software and tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize changing needs, and proactively identify potential scheduling or logistical issues.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience with plant material, nurseries, landscaping, environmental restoration, procurement, logistics, purchasing, or project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and coordination support to the Operations team, including daily activities, scheduling, documentation, and operational needs.
• Coordinate field crew schedules, logistics, transportation, and other operational requirements.
• Coordinate crew lodging and per diem arrangements, including hotel reservations and related purchase orders.
• Support the Field Operations Coordinator with crew requests, scheduling changes, and operational needs.
• Coordinate plant procurement for Environmental Restoration proposals and projects, including sourcing, vendor communication, pricing, ordering, availability, delivery scheduling, and materials tracking.
• Coordinate plant and material transportation, deliveries, and staging to meet operational and project timelines.
• Maintain and update load lists and ensure accurate information is communicated to appropriate teams.
• Assist with GIS coordination and transportation logistics.
• Maintain accurate operational records, tracking logs, purchase orders, and other documentation.
• Communicate with Operations, Project Managers, field crews, nurseries, and vendors to coordinate materials, schedules, and operational needs.
• Provide backup administrative support to the Nursery Assistant, including nursery-related documentation, coordination, and daily administrative functions.
• Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
