Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Conditional employment upon satisfactory background check (employment, references, criminal records).

Responsibilities

  • Perform field-level tasks for various CSCL projects, including test post, over-the-line depth of cover, close interval cathodic protection surveys, and voltage gradient/coating surveys on pipeline infrastructure throughout Eastern Canada.
  • Operate utility terrain vehicles as required.
  • Collect, interpret, and understand data related to cathodic protection, DC interference, and voltage gradients, including analyzing waveform oscilloscope measurements, measuring soil resistivities, and gathering pipe-to-soil potential and rectifier data.
  • Locate pipelines and describe physical onsite characteristics for subsequent analysis.
  • Ensure the profitable delivery of Corrosion Service’s products and services in the field.
  • Adhere to Corrosion Service’s and clients’ operations HSE procedures and policies.
  • Submit all required reporting to Team Leads/Project Engineers.
  • Complete timesheets and expenses in a timely manner.
  • Follow inventory removal/addition procedures to ensure accurate counts.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings.
  • Assist with annual COR internal audits.
  • Follow emergency response procedures.
  • Complete field HSE documentation such as HSE inspections, checklists, FLRA, VIR, OBS, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with other technical staff in a supportive and positive manner.
  • Complete tasks according to Corrosion Service Quality Management System.
  • Contribute to developing a positive company culture.
  • Maintain a business casual dress code in the office (business formal upon request).

  • Suggest improvements to current policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional attitude.
