The Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund is seeking qualified experts to fill contractual positions as Technical Assistance (TA) Advisors in its Public Financial Management 1 Division (FADM1), based in Washington D.C. The successful candidates for these positions will provide Capacity Development (CD) support to IMF member countries in Anglophone Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. Support is typically provided through diagnostic and review missions, training, and workshops. The successful candidates will advise on some of the following public financial management (PFM) areas: macro-fiscal, medium-term fiscal and budget frameworks, budget preparation, approval, and execution, budget classification, fiscal reporting, and accounting systems, PFM legal frameworks, public investment management, fiscal risk management, cash and debt management, digitalization of public finance. Particular interest is in candidates with strong expertise in macro-fiscal, fiscal risks, and public investment management. Practical experience in applying artificial intelligence and other emerging digital technologies to public finance would also be highly desirable.
