$180,000 - $210,000Remote

About The Position

The Technical Architect Team Lead is a senior, hands-on role that combines deep technical execution with strategic oversight. You will own the architecture and implementation of complex customer solutions while providing mentorship and direction across the Professional Services team. This role requires someone equally comfortable writing and reviewing code as advising executive stakeholders on platform strategy.

Requirements

  • Must be technically proficient with real hands on coding experience in their career. Cannot be too removed from code to do design or code review
  • Cloud technology deployment experience is required
  • Industry experience is a strong preference, ideally with PLM, PIM, ERP, or ecommerce systems, either working directly for a brand or consulting with one

Nice To Haves

  • Ecommerce, retail or similar field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end technical architecture for customer implementations, including integrations, complex data flows, and non-standard requirements
  • Design and support bi-directional integrations with ERP, PLM, PIM, DAM, BI, and other enterprise systems; define API patterns, sync strategies, and error-handling approaches
  • Lead data onboarding and migration efforts including mapping, transformation, validation, and loading
  • Act as technical lead on customer engagements, reviewing and validating configurations and code; contribute hands-on when needed
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across implementation, go-live, and post-launch escalations
  • Serve as the final escalation point for solution design risk or ambiguity
  • Advise enterprise customers and executive stakeholders on platform fit, scalability, and future-state architecture
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success during high-complexity sales cycles; validate feasibility and support executive-level conversations
  • Help set appropriate customer expectations around platform capabilities early in the engagement lifecycle
  • Lead a group of technical resources, developing their skills and capabilities as they become fellow architects
  • Mentor other Technical Architects and Functional Consultants; elevate solution quality through design reviews and knowledge sharing
  • Optimize technical design processes, contribute to internal reference architectures, documentation, and reusable delivery assets
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to surface field insights, inform roadmap prioritization, and evolve our solutioning principles
  • Drive technical design (about 30 to 40% of time)
  • Engage directly with customers to understand requirements for integrations, event workflows, and extensions
  • Architect the solution for non functional technical requirements (how to build an integration, not the actual coding)
  • Design and code review (majority of remaining time, the core "team lead" function)
  • Review architecture and code from other technical resources engaged on customer projects
  • Manage technical resources
  • Identify skill gaps and develop the team (example: leveling up someone's JavaScript)
  • Standard people management and mentorship
  • Resource and backlog management: matching technical resources to active projects based on skill set and project needs (across US and overseas resources)
  • Improve the solutioning process
  • Define best practices for common technical patterns (extensions, integrations, event workflows)
  • Build reusable solution patterns so effort levels out over time
