About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Technical Architect for its Keynote Demo Engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering live product demonstrations for high-profile Salesforce events, including World Tour keynotes, customer events, product launches, and Dreamforce. The position is hands-on, requiring the architect to design demo environments, write code, configure Salesforce orgs, integrate multiple products, and ensure flawless execution. The role involves close collaboration with leadership, Product Marketing Managers, Designers, and Developers, owning demos end-to-end from concept to live delivery, often presenting them on stage. The work will be seen by C-suite executives, Fortune 500 customers, global partners, and the Salesforce community. The Keynote Demo Engineering team creates demonstrations for Salesforce's most exciting moments, operating in a small group model where Technical Architects partner with Product Marketing Managers, Developers, and Designers. The team showcases available and visionary product capabilities, ensuring polish and reliability for keynote-level events. Demos span the entire Salesforce ecosystem, including Agentforce, Data Cloud, Slack, Tableau, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud. The team supports global events and requires hands-on support during critical moments, valuing creativity, technical rigor, resilience, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform (development, administration, or solution architecture)
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative automation
  • Proficiency in front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to work under extreme time pressure with high-stakes deadlines and live event delivery
  • Experience with org setup, configuration, data modeling, and environment management for complex demos or POCs
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and connected system architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — ability to work with non-technical partners (marketing, design, executives) to translate stories into technical solutions
  • Willingness to travel at least 33% (domestic and international) to support live events
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends during event preparation periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building live product demonstrations for large audiences (conferences, keynotes, executive briefings, or webinars)
  • Experience designing and building multi-cloud Salesforce solutions that integrate across products (Sales, Service, Marketing, Data Cloud, Slack, Tableau, Heroku or Agentforce)
  • Familiarity with Agentforce, AI agents, and agentic architectures (Agent Builder, prompt engineering, orchestration)
  • Experience with Slack platform development (Slack apps, Slackbot skills, workspace administration, federation)
  • Knowledge of Tableau integration and data visualization
  • Experience with Data Cloud , CDPs, or data integration platforms (e.g., Informatica)
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (Tampermonkey, Keyboard Maestro, browser extensions) for demo enhancement
  • Background in storytelling, presentation design , or demo scripting — understanding of how to create narrative tension and resolution through product capabilities
  • Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, or System Architect
  • Experience with version control (Git/GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows
  • Familiarity with mobile and device management for demo delivery on iPads and other devices
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced creative or production environment (media, advertising, event production, or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Design and build end-to-end demo environments across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrated third-party systems.
  • Architect multi-product demo flows (e.g., Agentforce → Data Cloud → Slack → Tableau) that tell compelling customer stories.
  • Create and manage Salesforce demo orgs (SDOs), Slack workspaces, and connected environments with proper data models, user personas, and integrations.
  • Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and platform automation to bring demo stories to life.
  • Build both "real product" implementations and creative workarounds (prototyped experiences, scripted interactions, browser extensions) when product constraints require it.
  • Establish and maintain reusable proof patterns that accelerate future demo builds.
  • Own demo technical readiness for keynote events including rehearsals, code freezes, and live show support.
  • Manage demo stability across multiple devices and presentation formats (stage screens, iPads, mobile devices).
  • Coordinate deployment timing and environment locks to ensure zero critical failures on stage.
  • Create Demo Setup Guides (DSGs), clickpath documentation, and driving guides for speaker preparation.
  • Optimize display settings and UI treatments for large-venue legibility (opacity transitions, screen bezels, resolution standards).
  • Support speakers during rehearsals and provide technical coaching on demo execution.
  • Partner equally with Product Marketing Managers and Designers within your working group — you share ownership of demo success.
  • Build deep relationships with Salesforce product engineering teams to stay ahead of feature availability, GA timelines, and known limitations.
  • Coordinate with production teams (show callers, video directors, AV specialists) on technical integration and timing.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders about build status, risks, and tradeoffs — especially when live stage demos require explicit escalation to product teams.
  • Collaborate with localization teams for multi-language and multi-market demo delivery.
  • Evaluate emerging Salesforce features and recommend which to showcase in upcoming demos.
  • Make architectural decisions about build approaches: real product vs. mocked, single-org vs. multi-org, live vs. static.
  • Contribute to the team's proof pattern library covering core enterprise scenarios.
  • Contribute to the teams enablement and distribution documentation for SE and global events.
  • Drive continuous improvement in demo stability, build efficiency, and technical quality.
  • Partner with development team members on complex builds.
