About The Position

ElevenLabs is building its Finance function from the ground up, and as we scale toward a public-company-ready accounting infrastructure, the stakes are high. As our Technical Accountant, you will be the go-to resource for US GAAP guidance across the organisation – researching complex standards, drafting technical memos, and helping the business navigate new transactions, structures, and reporting requirements with clarity and confidence. This is a generalist technical accounting role. You will cover everything from equity and stock-based compensation to revenue recognition, leases, and emerging product structures – working directly with the Financial Controller, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors. The right candidate has done this before in a fast-moving, pre-IPO or recently public environment, and is ready to build the technical foundation that will carry ElevenLabs through its next stage.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP across a broad set of standards – ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 360, and related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience researching, drafting, and defending technical accounting memos and position papers.
  • Experience building or contributing to an internal controls environment, ideally in a pre-IPO or public company context.
  • CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualification (active).
  • Ability to translate complex accounting positions into clear, actionable guidance for non-accounting stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a pre-IPO or recently public technology company navigating S-1 readiness and PCAOB audit.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity consolidated reporting, FX accounting (ASC 830), and intercompany eliminations.
  • NetSuite or comparable ERP experience.
