About The Position

The Technical Accounting group within Corporate Accounting Practices and Reporting is responsible for preparing and filing the quarterly, annual and other financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); works closely with Qualcomm’s business units and corporate functions to determine and document the proper accounting treatment of complex and/or new types of transactions; and undertakes projects such as assisting the business units and corporate functions with acquisitions, dispositions, the implementation of new accounting guidance, etc. This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week). This position is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical accounting experience, including at least 3 years in public accounting and remaining experience in technical accounting and/or external reporting position.
  • CPA (if candidate does not yet have their CPA, we would want them to be committed to getting it).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
