About The Position

The Technical Account Specialist - Electronics will be responsible for supporting Account Managers in assigned semiconductor and solar customer accounts. This role helps support sales professionals in driving electronic gas sales through active and direct customer interaction to understand opportunities within Linde’s product/solution portfolio. The specialist will develop and implement plans to increase penetration within defined customer accounts, develop an expert understanding of product specifications, design, configuration, performance, and applications, and support customer(s) with product and proposal presentations that include engineering solutions to meet customer needs. The role also involves participating in proper forecasting analysis, monitoring performance against goals, collecting data on competitive products, pricing, and marketing activities, and providing this data to Linde Senior Management. The specialist will work directly with key support divisions within Linde to ensure deliverables are met and with the Financial Team to ensure appropriate financial models are developed to secure CAPEX funds. Support for project execution based on specific timelines, working with different support functions within the project's budget and timeline, and understanding technical information on manufacturing products, applications, and development at customer(s) are also key aspects of this role. A strong analytical background, with the ability to develop sound knowledge on statistical process control and quality systems, and an understanding of the Semiconductor and Solar production process, gases, chemistry, and materials applications are expected.

Requirements

  • Degree in either technical (engineering or science) or business areas
  • Experience in commercial sales aspects of electronic and/or specialty gases and/or industrial and/or chemicals to the semiconductor or related industry or experience and/or knowledge with gases, chemicals, and gas cabinets in the semiconductor or related industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, computer systems and applications
  • Strong analytical background and ability to develop sound knowledge on statistical process control and quality systems
  • Be innovative, flexible, committed, ambitious, and determined
  • Have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, and have strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate commitment to a high level of operational discipline and compliance to standard work procedures

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Account Managers within assigned semiconductor and solar customer accounts
  • Helping to support the sales professionals in driving electronic gas sales through active and direct customer interaction to understand the opportunities within Linde’s product/solution portfolio
  • Developing and implementing plans to increase penetration within defined customer accounts
  • Developing expert understanding of product specifications, design, configuration, performance and applications and supporting customer(s) with product and proposal presentations that include engineering solutions in order to meet customer needs
  • Participating in proper forecasting analysis and monitoring performance against goals on a regular basis
  • Collecting data on competitive products, pricing and marketing activities and providing data to Linde Senior Management to enable Linde to create marketing to defend and win competitive business
  • Working directly with key and relevant support Divisions within the Linde Organization to ensure deliverables are met to customer(s)
  • Working with the Financial Team in ensuring the appropriate financial model is developed to secure CAPEX funds
  • Supporting project execution based on specific timelines, able to work with different support functions in executing within the project's budget and timeline
  • Understanding technical information on manufacturing products, applications and development at customer(s)
