•$61,000 - $77,800•Remote

About The Position

Blackbaud is seeking a calm, precise, and collaborative Technical Account Manager to serve as the trusted technical partner and primary support contact for assigned enterprise corporate clients using its disbursement service. The role owns case intake, follow-up, and client communications through resolution while specialist teams investigate and address underlying issues. It leads escalations for payment-blocking and other high-impact issues, coordinates appropriate internal teams, and keeps clients informed while meeting committed response times. The Technical Account Manager explains payment and integration events to clients, translates client-reported problems into actionable details for internal teams, and guides clients through testing, sign-off, and go-live. The role supports ongoing account health through regular service touchpoints, monthly service-level reporting, and technical input to executive business reviews alongside the Customer Success Manager. As this is an emerging line of business, the position also helps develop runbooks, issue tracking, and post-incident reviews, while following procedures and training required by banking partners and compliance teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical account management, technical support escalation, solutions engineering, or a similar client-facing technical role, including serving as the escalation point for high-severity issues.
  • Knowledge of electronic payments and bank operations, including ACH processing, payment returns, and reconciliation.
  • Understanding of APIs and event-driven integrations, and controls governing regulated money movement, such as identity verification and sanctions screening.
  • Experience reading API responses, event payloads, or logs to identify where a transaction stopped.
  • Experience working with case management and work-tracking tools.
  • Clear, steady written and verbal communication with executive and technical audiences, particularly when money or deadlines are at stake.
