About The Position

This role is for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) within AWS Enterprise Support, focusing on National Security customers. The TAM acts as a strategic technical advisor and 'voice of the customer', helping them adopt and utilize a wide range of AWS services including Compute, Storage, Database, Machine Learning, AI, Big Data, Security, Networking, and Serverless technologies. Specific services mentioned include EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, SageMaker, ECS/EKS, GuardDuty, Systems Manager, CodePipeline, and IoT. The TAM will represent AWS within a customer’s environment, driving discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management. They will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively ensure customers’ AWS environments are operationally healthy. Building close relationships with customers, the TAM will understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges to help them achieve maximum value from AWS. The position requires the ability to travel 10% or more as needed. Candidates must be US Citizens and possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Requirements

  • Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience
  • 2+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience informational technology operations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead
  • 5+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences experience
  • Experience with development in a distributed systems environment
  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
  • Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
  • Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and ability to properly apply them to existing or new customer architecture, implementations, and/or solutions
