About The Position

Provides and assists with the lifting, moving, and transporting of patients throughout the facility. Responds to requests for transport in a timely manner. Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment. Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers. Monitors patient condition and responds appropriately to changes in patient condition. Safely handles any equipment/supplies used by the patient, including wheelchairs, walkers, stretchers, beds, oxygen supply devices, invasive lines, pumps, and monitors.

Requirements

Ability to assist patients with entering and exiting vehicles.
Ability to transfer patients from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
Ability to monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes.
Ability to safely handle patient equipment and supplies.
