This position is also responsible for patient safety protocols, maintaining all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements Participates in QI activities.

Requirements

  • One year of vascular imaging experience.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, or eligible.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Required to take call /standby in Ultrasound and for NNMC as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer specific experience and training in Vascular Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, relaying and documenting verbal, written and electronic orders in the patient’s medical record.
  • Corroborating patient’s clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner prior to patient arrival.
  • Applying principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.
  • Evaluating images for technical quality acquiring all necessary images to ensure the radiologist gets the information needed, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
