This position is also responsible for patient safety protocols, maintaining all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements Participates in QI activities.

Requirements

One year of vascular imaging experience.
Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, or eligible.
Current BLS certification.
Required to take call /standby in Ultrasound and for NNMC as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prefer specific experience and training in Vascular Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

Receiving, relaying and documenting verbal, written and electronic orders in the patient’s medical record.
Corroborating patient’s clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner prior to patient arrival.
Applying principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.
Evaluating images for technical quality acquiring all necessary images to ensure the radiologist gets the information needed, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
