About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Logistics Technician to support a large enterprise IT contract. The role supports end-user technology refresh installations, including existing hardware, software, and system configurations, as well as new system initiatives. The goal is to help ensure the organization's IT infrastructure operates securely, reliably, and efficiently while meeting customer mission needs and maintaining the functionality of customer capabilities.

The technician works as part of a team and provides mission-ready staging support for installation of new desktop equipment. Duties include receiving and moving equipment, preparing it for desk-side installation, documenting asset information, registering MAC addresses, and opening service tickets. The position requires travel up to 75% of the time, mostly within the National Capital Region, with possible additional travel elsewhere in the continental United States.

This role requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI with polygraph, or TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a polygraph. Physical duties include repeatedly lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds and standing and walking for up to eight hours per day.

• Awareness of and responsiveness to safety signals and environmental conditions.
• High school diploma and typically 3–5 years of experience.
• Meet at least DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements; examples include Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide mission-ready staging support to the Tech Refresh Installation Team for installation of new desktop equipment.
• Unbox, stage, and disposition end-user equipment.
• Assist delivery personnel with unloading IT equipment pallets and ensure they are delivered to the correct facility location.
• Dispose of equipment packaging and other waste.
• Move equipment from the loading dock to the equipment staging area.
• Stage equipment for desk-side installation, including ensuring required wires and cables are available with each computer.
• Register MAC addresses and update documents with asset information and other staging details.
• Open service tickets associated with desktop equipment installations.
