Learn more at nnmc.com This Radiology Technologist Student opportunity is part time at 24 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. This individual will perform a variety of imaging procedures in Surgery, Emergency Department, Pain Center and the Imaging Department and is responsible for patient safety protocols. This individual is responsible for knowing all related policy and procedures and functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.

Requirements

High School graduate; BS degree preferred.
First 3 semesters completed of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Registry with the ARRT within 1 year of employment.
Registered with the State of Nevada Radiation Control Program
Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies.
Demonstrates knowledge of positioning patient for exams
Correctly formulates Radiographic exposure factors and use of phototiming.
Thorough knowledge and skill in administration, side effects and complications of contrast media.
Recognizes and appropriately handles changes in exams and procedures for the patient.
