About The Position

Underground Services Markham, LLC is seeking a Tech Operator for Brine Treatment. This is an hourly, non-exempt position responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the brine treatment unit, including monitoring levels, flows, and pressures. The role requires 24/7 in-plant monitoring and involves working a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The operator will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment failures, adhering to safety policies, responding to emergencies, and performing sample testing in the QC Lab. The position also requires the ability to handle chemicals safely and learn additional departmental tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • General working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Identify equipment issues and write work orders for repairs or maintenance.
  • Analytical Skills.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform all ongoing operations of the brine treatment unit utilizing both computerized and in-field instrumentation.
  • 24/7 in-plant monitoring of levels, flows, and pressures throughout the brine treatment facility.
  • Demonstrate clear and effective communication during shift changes with fellow operators.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to equipment failures and/or plant process issues.
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Policies.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
  • Work outdoors in varying and inclement weather conditions.
  • Handle multiple chemicals safely and wear a respirator when required.
  • Perform sample testing in the on-site QC Lab to ensure product quality assurance.
  • Be willing to learn and carry out additional departmental tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance according to scheduled work shifts.
