About The Position

The GWU Hospital is seeking a Multi-Modality Technician – CT -XRAY (Full-Time). This role performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities, including Ultrasound, Mammography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Special Procedures, while maintaining proficiency in general diagnostic radiology. The technician is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and adhering to all radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Completion of AMA-Sponsored School of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as radiologic technologist.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-modality experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced certification in one or more modalities preferred, such as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, or Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities, including Ultrasound, Mammography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Special Procedures, while maintaining proficiency in general diagnostic radiology.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Adheres to all radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
• Always demonstrate compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
• Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
