About The Position

We are now an international team of 100+ and have 40M+ monthly active users. Backed by Voodoo, our team is fully focused on scaling BeReal into an iconic social network used by hundreds of millions. We are looking for a Tech Lead iOS Engineer to drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of our iOS application, impacting millions of users worldwide. You will play a key role in shaping the product, mentoring engineers, and ensuring excellence in both delivery and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in iOS development, with significant experience in leading technical projects
- Strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, with proven production experience
- Solid understanding of iOS architecture and system design at scale
- Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and driving engineering best practices
- Strong product mindset with attention to detail in UX, animations, and interactions
- Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in data-driven development and analytics
- Highly autonomous, impactful, and results-oriented
- Fluent in English (French is a plus)
Responsibilities
- Lead iOS technical strategy and architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of complex features with a strong focus on impact and quality.
- Mentor iOS engineers and foster a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical decisions with product and business goals.
- Own code quality and engineering standards, improving best practices and processes.
- Make high-impact technical decisions, balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.
- Use data and user feedback to inform product and technical improvements.
- Drive innovation in the iOS stack (Swift, SwiftUI) and adopt modern tools, including AI-assisted development.
- Ensure reliability and performance at scale, with a strong focus on user experience.
- You’ll work alongside AI tools that amplify your creativity and streamline your day-to-day.
