About The Position

Industrious is seeking a Tech Lead, DevOps Engineer to architect and build the deployment ecosystem for their "Vibe Coding" initiative. This role involves designing and implementing infrastructure as code, automating development processes, and defining a modern cloud-native stack that integrates AI, security, and automation. The goal is to enable developers to move ideas from concept to production seamlessly and confidently, accelerating engineering velocity and enhancing the overall developer experience. This is a hybrid role based in Montreal, Canada.

Requirements

7+ years of DevOps experience
At least 2 years of experience leading teams or major technical initiatives
Mastery of at least one programming language (Python or TypeScript on Node.js preferred)
Deep experience with AWS (GCP experience is a bonus)
Deep experience with Terraform and Terragrunt (IaC)
Strong working knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
Hands-on experience with technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or comparable message brokers
Proven track record of maintaining sophisticated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions experience is a plus)
Ability to translate complex infrastructure concepts into actionable insights for product and dev teams
Insatiable desire for self-improvement and continuous learning

Responsibilities

Architect and build the infrastructure and internal platform for "Vibe Coding", enabling employees to create applications and leverage AI and automation.
Act as a force multiplier for the dev team by automating environment provisioning and testing to increase speed.
Own and deliver a vision for a modern cloud-native stack balancing AI integration, security, and automation.
Architect and build reliable, maintainable, and scalable deployment solutions.
Implement solutions for new and existing products aligned with the company's data strategy to ensure zero downtime and peak performance.
Orchestrate CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and modern build tools for seamless deployment to AWS.
Enhance application monitoring, perform regular maintenance and upgrades, and evolve the security posture.
Implement scalable solutions anticipating the needs of a growing global business.
Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of transparency, continuous learning, and high performance.
