This role involves performing essential tasks related to aircraft cabin maintenance and repair. The technician will be responsible for the removal, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reinstallation of various aircraft cabin furnishings and equipment, including galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead compartments, panels, and carpeting. The position requires the ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, and aircraft manuals to perform complex cabin reconfigurations. The technician will also be involved in repairing, adjusting, and installing aircraft seats, and must have a general knowledge of tools, including the ability to read precision measuring instruments like micrometers, depth gauges, and dial calipers. Additionally, the role requires identifying interior fasteners, understanding their installation methods, and practicing basic sealing procedures for aircraft structures. The technician must also be able to identify pressurized areas of the aircraft and open/close areas for inspection, ensuring all work meets FAA and customer standards.
