About The Position

The Team Member is the core of the Caribou Coffee experience, responsible for creating day-making experiences through exceptional guest service, hand-crafted beverages, and bringing Caribou’s Purpose and Values to life in every interaction. No previous experience is required. Team Members work across roles such as barista and greeter, respond to the needs of guests and teammates, and contribute to a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffeehouse. The role requires dependable attendance, a learner’s mindset, and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, as coffeehouse needs require.
• Excellent customer service mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for coffee, hospitality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest service that builds real connections through active listening, personal attention, and thoughtful interactions.
• Hand-craft beverages and prepare food according to standard recipes, customizing orders to guest preferences.
• Move between barista, greeter, and other roles as needed during the shift.
• Take orders and manage the cash drawer accurately while following cash-handling, safety, and security standards.
• Keep the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked in accordance with operating, quality, and safety standards.
• Anticipate the needs of guests and teammates and act proactively.
• Make recommendations based on product knowledge.
• Resolve problems when appropriate and seek support from a leader when needed.
• Take direction from leaders while balancing multiple priorities.
• Arrive on time and ready for every scheduled shift, maintaining reliable attendance.
