About The Position

La La Land Cafe is seeking passionate and enthusiastic Team Members to help create a warm, inclusive environment and provide exceptional customer experiences. Team Members prepare high-quality beverages and light food, maintain clean and organized work areas, process payments, and support café operations. The role involves serving customers, assisting coworkers during busy periods, and helping ensure the quality and freshness of food and drinks.

Requirements

• High school diploma; relevant training is a plus.
• Naturally positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of connecting with people.
• Previous work experience as a barista or in customer service.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Food handler certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide outstanding customer service.
• Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and workstations.
• Receive and process credit card payments.
• Clean and sanitize counters, equipment, customer areas, utensils, and storage areas; sweep and mop as needed.
• Follow food-handling health and safety guidelines.
• Prepare and serve avocado toast, pastries, muffins, and other light food items according to company recipes.
• Ensure food quality and freshness while maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Assist with general cleaning, including taking out trash and maintaining store hygiene.
• Restock ingredients and supplies, including cups, lids, milk, pastries, and condiments.
• Deliver food and drink orders promptly and accurately.
• Keep front-of-house and back-of-house areas clean and organized; clear and wipe tables, return dishes to the kitchen, and reset dining areas.
• Support baristas and kitchen staff during peak hours and help maintain smooth store operations.
• Help manage to-go and delivery orders as needed.
