About The Position

The Team Member is central to the Caribou Coffee experience, creating day-making experiences by providing exceptional guest service, making hand-crafted beverages, preparing food, and bringing Caribou’s purpose and values to every interaction. No previous experience is required. Team Members work across different coffeehouse roles as needed, support guests and teammates, and help maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and safe coffeehouse.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, as coffeehouse needs require.
Excellent customer service mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for coffee, hospitality, and being part of a team.

Responsibilities

Deliver guest service that builds genuine connections through active listening, personal attention, and thoughtful interactions.
Hand-craft beverages and prepare food according to standard recipes, customizing orders to guest preferences.
Move confidently between barista, greeter, and other roles as the shift requires.
Take orders and manage the cash drawer accurately while following cash-handling, safety, and security standards.
Keep the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked, meeting operating standards for quality and safety.
Anticipate the needs of guests and teammates and take action without being asked.
Make guest recommendations based on product knowledge.
Recognize when an issue can be resolved independently and when to seek support from a leader.
Take direction from leaders while balancing multiple priorities.
Arrive on time and ready for scheduled shifts and maintain reliable attendance.
