About The Position

Playa Bowls is hiring a Team Member to help deliver an exceptional guest experience in its fast-paced shop environment. The role involves helping customers choose menu items, preparing high-quality bowls, smoothies, and other products, processing orders, and maintaining a clean, welcoming shop. Team Members are expected to uphold food quality and company standards, work effectively with colleagues, and represent the Playa Bowls mission and values in every interaction.

Requirements

Provide friendly, attentive customer service and work to ensure guest satisfaction.
Remain flexible in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities and customer needs.
Collaborate effectively with the team and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
Prioritize tasks to meet customer demands during peak hours.
Handle customer concerns or operational challenges calmly and effectively with management assistance.
Ensure orders are accurate and food presentation standards are maintained.
Remain stationary for prolonged periods.
Occasionally lift or otherwise move 25–40 pounds.
Retrieve items from high and low shelving, the fridge/freezer, and under counters.
Tolerate occasionally loud environments, including sounds from blenders, timers, and order notifications.
Frequently move around the establishment to access the POS register, assemble orders, clear tables, and restock inventory.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment.
Manage time effectively to complete tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
Foster a positive, friendly atmosphere for guests and team members.
Check food consistency, flavor, and presentation to ensure quality.
Prepare ingredients and assemble bowls, smoothies, and other menu items accurately and carefully.
Use the point-of-sale system to take and process customer orders.
Answer customer questions and address concerns in a friendly, helpful manner.
Take and assemble customer orders accurately and promptly.
Restock supplies, replenish condiments, and assist with inventory management as needed.
Promptly communicate inventory shortages or product concerns to a supervisor.
Represent the Playa Bowls mission, purpose, and core values in every interaction.
