About The Position

The Team Member is central to the Caribou Coffee experience, creating positive experiences for guests through attentive service, handcrafted beverages, and bringing Caribou Coffee’s purpose and values to every interaction. No previous experience is required. The role involves working flexibly across coffeehouse duties, responding to guest and team needs, and maintaining quality, safety, and operating standards. Physical demands include reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting and standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours; these demands may be met with or without reasonable accommodations. Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed by the coffeehouse.
Excellent customer service mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for coffee, hospitality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Deliver guest service that builds genuine connections through active listening, personal attention, and thoughtful interactions.
Handcraft beverages and prepare food according to standard recipes, customizing orders to guest preferences.
Move between barista, greeter, and other roles as needed during a shift.
Take orders and manage the cash drawer accurately while following cash-handling, safety, and security standards.
Keep the coffeehouse clean, organized, and stocked in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Anticipate the needs of guests and teammates and act without waiting to be asked.
Make recommendations based on product knowledge.
Resolve problems when appropriate and seek help from a leader when needed.
Take direction from leaders while balancing multiple team priorities.
Arrive on time and ready for each scheduled shift, maintaining reliable attendance.
