About The Position

The FNS Team member performs a variety of duties. They include: accurate and attractive tray assembly, tray delivery to patients, operation of the dish machine, sanitation of work area, dishes, and equipment, preparation of food items for patient room service and cafeteria, cafeteria sales and operation of cash registers. The FNS Team Member demonstrates Courtesy, positive Attitude, Respect, and Enthusiasm to patients, visitors, and co-workers.

Requirements

Part-time relief employees must be able to perform in at least four areas.
No chemical allergies (for Dish Room, Sanitation/Pot Room, Storeroom/Stocking).
No lifting restrictions (for Dish Room, Sanitation/Pot Room, Storeroom/Stocking).
Basic mathematic skills (for Cafeteria/Espresso Bar).
Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a good driving record according to hospital policy (for Head Start).
No allergies to non-latex gloves.

Nice To Haves

Excellent people skills (for Expediter, Tray Passing, Cafeteria/Espresso Bar, Catering).
Good communication skills (for Room Service, Expediter).
Must be quick and efficient (for Room Service, Expediter).

Responsibilities

Accurate and consistent in the delivery of supplies to the floors and the delivery of nourishments to patients.
Perform lifting, reaching, and other various repetitive tasks as part of their job duties, utilizing and implementing safety measures and policies to eliminate ergonomic stresses.
Room Service: Must be quick and efficient. Must have good communication skills.
Expediter: Must be quick and efficient. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to properly read a room service tray ticket and accurately build the patient's trays with those items listed on the ticket. Must be able to lift trays and push carts and have excellent people skills.
Tray Passing: Excellent people skills. Must be able to lift trays and push carts.
Dish Room: Operate dish machine, sanitation of work area, dishes, and equipment.
Sanitation/Pot Room: Sanitation of work area, dishes, and equipment.
Cafeteria/Espresso Bar: Excellent front-line skills. Basic mathematic skills. Must be able to push carts and lift pans of food to replenish hot and cold food bars. Must be able to monitor and maintain food quality at all times.
Storeroom/Stocking: Stocking duties.
Head Start: Deliver supplies.
Catering: Assist with catering events.
Accurate and attractive tray assembly.
Preparation of food items for patient room service and cafeteria.
Cafeteria sales and operation of cash registers.
