Team Manager-Woodhaven Forge
About The Position
This position is specifically for the Ford Motor Company Woodhaven Forging Plant. This position is the only position at this leadership level who has direct responsibility for all facets of the plant on a daily basis. You will be responsible for “depth and breadth” on all shifts/crews within a department, delivering all department scorecard objectives, owning processes (e.g., constraint management/ process improvement, standardization across all workstations within the area, planning change, determining continuous improvement opportunities, and serving as a change agent to drive the Ford Production System. Unique to this position, the plant reports to the senior leadership team at the Dearborn Engine Plant and has departmental support services from both Dearborn Engine Plant and Woodhaven Stamping Plant.
Requirements
- Leadership level position with direct responsibility for plant operations.
- Experience with constraint management and process improvement.
- Ability to standardize processes across workstations.
- Experience in planning change.
- Experience in identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ability to act as a change agent for production systems.
