Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience OR 8+ years of directly relevant industry experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of quality and process engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related).
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.
  • Direct experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, specifically with presses.
  • Proven experience managing a unionized workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain operational standards while monitoring adherence to manufacturing operating systems
  • Facilitate the Results Process using standardized tools and methods
  • Support and resolve team-escalated issues through coaching and abnormality resolution
  • Validate permanent corrective actions and drive continuous improvement to prevent systemic recurrence
  • Allocate resources to maintain production flow and ensure standards are met
  • Plan and monitor maintenance tasks while driving process improvements
  • Manage Time and Data to foster a continuous improvement mindset
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and management of system changes and transitions
  • Drive the creation and coordination of team activities
  • Foster a culture of communication and recognition to develop a motivated workforce
  • Create a conducive work environment that empowers teams to execute responsibilities
