Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of production and/or maintenance management experience in an automated manufacturing facility
  • Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in Engineering or MBA
  • Expert ability to present in front of plant management
  • Experience teaching Ford Production System principles or similar
  • Prior experience in a facility start-up or new equipment commissioning environment.
  • Six Sigma: Black Belt certified
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with KPI management and data analysis (performing analysis and using data to make decisions)
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and FMEA processes
  • Ability to work and multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and written
  • Ability to resolve diverse problems
  • Work well under pressure and able to work under crisis management

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of salary and hourly staff to meet or exceeded Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and Environment objectives in an automated battery pack assembly facility.
  • Confirm and develop standards to ensure organization and structure
  • Monitor and confirm that manufacturing operating system standards are being applied and adhered to throughout the plant
  • Develop, coach, and support to achieve SQDCPME objectives
  • Support issues raised by the teams
  • Coach, teach, and feedback on resolution of abnormalities, and validate closure of concerns (facilitates interim containment actions)
  • Provide necessary resources to maintain production flow and confirm critical inputs are being performed to the acceptable standard(s)
  • Plan maintenance tasks, monitor completion and effectiveness, and drive improvement and/or coaching opportunities
  • Enable and model a culture of learning through demonstration of effective communication skills
  • Respect and encourage respect of all team members
  • Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
  • Create a Zero Tolerance environment and reaffirm team members respect each other
  • Create a proactive performance driven culture that listens, reacts and supports (effective communication, education, listening, trust) to capture the hearts and minds of the people
  • Proactively recognize the teams accomplishments and improve morale
