About The Position

As part of Ford Motor Company's Manufacturing team, you’ll help build world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles. Within our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. This role requires diligent, determined performers who think outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture vehicles. You will lead a team of Production Supervisors, driving the production of world-class vehicles. You will be responsible for upholding the standards of the Ford Production System, developing your team, and relentlessly pursuing continuous improvement to meet our goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 or more years of paint experience supervising hourly teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience working within a unionized environment.
• Proven ability to use data to inform decisions and drive results.
• Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal, team building, and communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to plant management.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 8 or more years of paint experience supervising hourly teams in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
• Prior tenure in a direct leadership or supervisory role in manufacturing.
• Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or other Lean Manufacturing certification.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure all manufacturing operating system standards (Lean Manufacturing, Standardized Work) are consistently applied throughout your area of responsibility.
• Lead your team to achieve daily and long-term objectives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and Environment (SQDCPME).
• Act as the first line of support for issues raised by the team. Coach and lead root cause analysis to implement permanent corrective actions for any process abnormalities.
• Provide the necessary resources and confirm all critical inputs are performed to standard, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement projects to address systemic issues and prevent the recurrence of problems.
• Lead and coordinate Continuous Improvement events on the plant floor, empowering your team to identify and eliminate waste to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Lead the creation, coordination, and execution of work plans for scheduled downtime and shutdowns. Evaluate the effectiveness of these plans to drive future improvements.
• Plan and implement process revisions and improvements to meet new standards as our manufacturing systems evolve.
• Plan and monitor Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to improve equipment reliability and overall area performance.
