About The Position

The Team Leader will be required to follow all Orange Grove KNOWLEDGE: Policies and Procedures and adhere to Tennessee’s and Georgia’s DBHDD Provider Manual standards and guidelines. Staff training for Tennessee and Georgia will be completed and maintained as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license with “F” endorsement and a reliable, insured vehicle in order to transport individuals. Personal vehicle checks are required upon hire and every quarter thereafter. This is a community employment based full-time, non-exempt position with 75 hours per pay period. Hours are typically 8am to 4pm, with a half hour unpaid lunch. Will assist with early morning and/or afternoon transport as needed. Must be available to work in a variety of community integrated work settings and work flexible hours as needed to ensure the success of the small group work sites. The Team Leader is responsible for developing the weekly staff schedule with input from the Asst. Coordinator, personally providing staff coverage to provide support for individuals assigned to the ECF/DDA Job Coaches and Small Group Work Site Supervisors when necessary. Will provide direct hands-on training to Job Coaches and individuals in various job settings. The Team Leader will assist with transporting individuals to and from work as needed. Will ensure compliance oversight of employment daily notes or will enter supervisory level daily notes as needed. The Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating Training Specific to the Needs of the Individual (SIT) and review the daily note- transportation- epipen calendars on a bi-weekly basis. Assist with monthly unannounced small group work site visits as needed. The Team Leader will represent the Employment Department by attending annual Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP), Circle of Support (COS), and Support Intensity Scale (SIS) meetings for all individuals assigned to the Department. Prior to the meetings, will be responsible for obtaining all employment information and updates as related to all individuals assigned to the ECF/DDA Job Coaches and Small Group work sites. The Team Leader will submit updated Risk Assessments to the assigned Case Manager and will maintain up to date Staffing Plans, Job Placement and Job Termination reports and Job Coach fading plans. Upon receiving new PCSPs or COS information, will be responsible for reviewing and sharing this information with relevant employment team members. The Team Leader will review and notify staff of individual Health Care appointments and Mealtime Observation sessions and will serve as the Employment Department’s primary Designated Trainer. For the Mealtime cards, he/she will review the cards monthly to ensure there are still active designated trainers listed for the employment department. The Team Leader will complete and/or oversee individual’s time sheet entries and ensure that daily note entries coincide with time sheets. The Team Leader will assist individuals in setting up business’ direct payroll systems and OGC Paycom direct deposit setups and will obtain payroll information such as pay stubs, etc. that are needed for wage verification reports for both governmental agencies and DDA Employment Tracking data reports. The Team Leader will assist in notifying staff of training compliance deadlines and assist with maintaining personal vehicle inspections and on-going proof of insurance checks. He/she will serve as the liaison between Orange Grove Center and various community business sites and will provide support to each individual and their family. The Team Leader will be responsible for taking individuals through the Employment Exploration process so as they may proceed to the Discovery phase of employment. Must attend all scheduled staff and committee meetings and will keep their training up to date. As the Supervisor may assign other duties and assignments to the Team Leader as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supervision/management.
  • At least six (6) months or more professional and/or lived experience working with individuals who have disabilities, complex needs or who are aging, where the work involved teaching and supporting skill development related to employment or daily living tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with “F” endorsement.
  • Reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Personal vehicle checks are required upon hire and every quarter thereafter.
  • Good overall health and personal stamina.
  • Physical examination, including TB skin test or chest X-ray is required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Public relations/business management experience is beneficial.
  • Experience in an employment setting is preferred.

Responsibilities
