About The Position

The Team Leader role at SPAR Stewartstown, reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager, is responsible for leading the store team to provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers and positively impact the local community. This role involves ensuring adherence to store policies, managing team workload, being a hands-on role model, and supporting store performance and community initiatives. The position also requires covering the Post Office when needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous store retail experience.
• At least 6 months of supervisory experience leading a team in a customer-focused environment.
• Natural ability to listen, interact, and communicate with customers and team members.
• Target-driven to achieve business plans and priorities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to inspire others to perform their best for each other and the customer.
• Willingness to undergo a P250 Post Office check.

Responsibilities

• Leading the store team to follow store policies, standards, and practices, in conjunction with the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders, including keyholder duties.
• Acting as a positive role model and representing the company values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork, and Integrity.
• Training, managing workload, and supporting the team while also being hands-on in store to ensure optimal customer experience.
• Supporting the Store Manager in maximizing store performance by understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Actively promoting and participating in community support initiatives with the store team.
• Covering the Post Office as required.
