About The Position

This role involves supervising a work group to ensure daily production schedules are met, maintaining company safety and sanitation policies, and fostering a participatory environment. The Team Leader is responsible for communicating objectives, programs, and policies, and ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities. They will also oversee the training of new employees and complete necessary production reports and payroll tasks. A key aspect of this role is to lead by example, ensuring all team members understand and utilize company guidelines to promote teamwork and mutual benefit.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a work group to assure production of products/services meets daily production schedules.
  • Ensure company safety policy is followed.
  • Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed and that all employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure communication of objectives, programs, policies and that team members are familiar with their authority, responsibilities, and objectives.
  • Ensure achievement of objectives relating to personnel management, personnel safety, product quality, productivity, yield, and scheduling.
  • Oversee training of new employees in proper performance of line tasks.
  • Complete production reports and payroll responsibilities as required.
  • Through leadership, training and effective role modeling, personally ensure that all team members understand and use the Charter, Employee Handbook, Managing Principles and Team Commitment to increase a participatory environment of working together for mutual benefit.
