About The Position

West Coast Convenience, the parent company of Loop Neighborhood Market, Poppy Market, and other gas brands, is seeking customer-focused individuals to join their growing team. Headquartered in Union City, CA, the company operates a network of convenience stores, fuel stations, and car washes across California. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on performance, operations, and customer experience, where the Team Leader is responsible for the store's overall success. The Team Leader sets the tone for the store by modeling Core Values, building a strong team culture, and ensuring every shift runs efficiently and safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 9–12 months of leadership experience in retail, convenience, or a similar fast-paced environment, or equivalent education and experience
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills
• Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and manage sales, expenses, and inventory
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Motivated to contribute to a performance-driven team
• Must be 21+ years of age

Responsibilities

• Lead the team with strong business acumen
• Drive sales and profitability across all departments
• Ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced environment
• Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience
• Maintain focus on inventory, retail technology, and safety
• Hire, train, coach, and retain a strong team
• Set expectations, drive accountability, and build a positive team culture
• Create schedules that support the business and control labor costs
• Oversee daily operations, cash handling, and store readiness
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality
• Drive sales through merchandising, availability, and service
• Manage inventory, expenses, and store performance
• Deliver excellent service and resolve customer issues promptly
• Maintain a welcoming, customer-first environment
• Follow company policies and all safety and regulatory standards
• Promote a safe, secure environment for employees and customers
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Benefits

• Employees that are with us for 6 months to 3 years = 0.10 cents off a gallon of fuel
• Employees that are with us for 3 years to 5 years = 0.30 cents off a gallon of fuel
• Employees that have been with us for 5+ years = 0.40 cents off a gallon of fuel
• MAXIMUM 20 GALLONS AND 2 FILL UPS PER WEEK
