The location in Plymouth, (North Carolina, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Team Leader. This job is full-time permanent.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of production/maintenance experience or technical degree with minimum of three (3) years of Pulp and Paper operational /maintenance support
  • Excellent safety record with a track record of being proactive in safety efforts
  • Excellent work and attendance record
  • Possesses strong knowledge and support of the Work System with demonstrated leadership skills, such as task force/committee involvement, special projects, and community organizations
  • Computerized maintenance system experience (SAP, etc.)
  • Possesses strong leadership qualities and good interactive people skills
  • Experience as a setup Team Leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communications

Responsibilities

  • Manage / lead a rotating shift operating team
  • Ensure the department is operated with the guidelines set forth holding both yourself and your employees accountable for results
  • Establish strong standards for your team, department, mill, and work system objectives
  • Participate in and conduct the technical reviews of mill technician’s training on your team
  • Participate in shutdown planning, work prioritization, and execution
  • Conduct and apply behavior modification standards as necessary
  • Ensure safe working conditions and behavior
  • Ensure reliable operation (both processes and equipment)
  • Make regular rounds in all process areas
  • Communicate with and expect communications from technicians and manager
  • Participate in housekeeping audits
  • Complete and conduct training/selection evaluations and annual reviews according to Work System Guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with all mill and company policies and procedures as well as governmental directives and laws
  • Communicate and support management decisions
  • Additional duties as assigned by your manager
