This position is based out of our Clear Lake office and provides leadership and support to residential services throughout the Garner, Iowa area. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field and Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Medication Manager Certification, or the ability to obtain within six months
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
  • Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with physical support as needed
  • Must pass required background checks, drug screening, and health screenings
  • Completion of required certifications, including Mandt Training

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for a team of Direct Support Professionals while ensuring individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive exceptional, person-centered support.
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of Direct Support Professionals
  • Providing ongoing training, guidance, and performance feedback
  • Assisting individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, hygiene, laundry, medications, and community involvement
  • Supporting individuals with budgeting, personal finances, and independent living skills
  • Monitoring documentation and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
  • Creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for both employees and the individuals we support
  • Collaborating with leadership to improve services and daily operations
  • Participating in an on-call rotation and supporting staffing needs as necessary
