About The Position

Henderson Retail is seeking a Team Leader to join their store team in the Dungannon Area. The role involves leading the store team to provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers and contribute positively to the local community. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for upholding store policies, standards, and practices, taking charge of the store in the absence of management, and acting as a positive role model. You will also be involved in training, managing workload, supporting your team, and actively participating in community initiatives. A key part of the role may involve covering the Post Office, requiring a successful candidate to pass a P250 Post Office check.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous store retail experience.
• At least 6 months of experience in a supervisory level role, leading a team in a customer-focused environment.
• Natural ability to listen, interact, and communicate with customers and team members.
• Target-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving business plans/priorities.
• Ability to inspire others to perform their best for each other and the customer.
• Willingness to undergo a P250 Post Office check.

Responsibilities

• Leading the store team to follow store policies, standards, and practices alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders, including keyholder responsibilities.
• Acting as a positive role model and representing the company values: Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork, and Integrity.
• Training, managing workload, and supporting the team while being hands-on in the store to ensure optimal customer experience.
• Supporting the Store Manager in maximizing store performance by understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Actively promoting and participating in community support initiatives with the store team.
• Covering the Post Office as required.
