About The Position
BAE Systems is currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Water and Wastewater Operations Team. The Team Leader will supervise operations of plant water treatment and wastewater treatment along with a steam generating power plant. You will monitor operations to ensure that we continuously meet State of Virginia Environmental Compliance requirements and BAE Systems production needs. Supervision will involve overseeing 7 to 11 hourly wage employees. Successful candidate will work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule. Areas of responsibility will include: 1) Main Filter Water Plant 2) 2 - Drinking Water Plants 3) Waste Acid Neutralization Facility 4) Sanitary Treatment Facility 5) Biological Wastewater Treatment Facility. 6) Powerhouse Operations on off-shifts and holidays.
Requirements
- Two years' experience with a license for Wastewater Treatment and Potable Water Treatment.
- Minimum of a Class 3 Water License as recognized by the State of Virginia Department of Health or a Class 3 Wastewater License by the Department of Environmental Quality.
- Must be able to effectively supervise hourly employees in a Union environment.
- Able to use SCADA Systems.
- Able to use Windows Software.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly.
- Dual licenses for Water (Class 2 minimum) and Wastewater Treatment (Class 2 minimum) as recognized by the State of Virginia Department of Health and Department of Environmental Quality.
