Requirements

Must have a working knowledge of common hand tools.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing production effectiveness.
Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Talking to others to convey information effectively.
The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.

Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers.
Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management.
Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.
Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Requires bending, stooping and standing.
Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.)
Good visual and spatial perception.
Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.

Responsibilities

Teach, encourage, and enforce KCC Safety Regulations.
Make sure team members have proper training to work safely and produce quality products that meet or exceed our customers expectation.
Inspect all finished materials/products to verify quality standards are met.
Inspect purchase materials and equipment to find non-conforming materials and defects.
Ensure equipment and PPE is calibrated and up to date in according to Planned Maintenance schedule.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Order materials as required to maintain work cell/station.
Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
Communicate updates to the schedule, safety concerns, near misses or incidents, defective equipment, to supervisor.
Record operational or production data.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
