About The Position

Leading the Adolescent Case Management & Targeted Care Packages teams, this role is with a leading provider of Youth Services in Victoria. The Team Leader will be instrumental in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of services to isolated and vulnerable families that require family/parenting and multi-faceted interventions. You will co-ordinate the delivery of these high-quality programs that provide genuine and positive outcomes for clients. This role involves working in conjunction with the Program Manager to plan and implement responses in relation to sector and service developments whilst ensuring appropriate processes are in place to enable continuous improvement of services and to promote best practice and ongoing quality improvement of the program. The ACMS/TCP Team offers individual, family, and group-based support designed to enhance parenting capacity, strengthen family relationships, and promote positive outcomes for children and young people. All families we work with have complex needs and a history of involvement with Child Protection or other community agencies.

Requirements

Experienced leader with demonstrated supervision and people management skills.
Capable of leading a team of Case Managers and Youth Workers to deliver high-quality DFFH case contracting services.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Child Protection system and associated practice requirements.
Strong understanding of the Child Protection, OOHC placement and support services and the family services system, including the legislative and policy framework.
Strong skills in assessing and planning for young people’s ongoing safety within different placements.
Knowledge of, and experience in the application of relevant theoretical approaches that underpin casework practice (including theories of trauma, child attachment, child development and abuse).
Experience and skills in developing and leading a team that is inclusive and engaged, and providing staff with good quality supervision, coaching and professional development.
Skills and experience in delivering programs and services within required timeframes and budget parameters.
Must hold a current Working with Children Check.
Must be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
